Vettai mannan director nelson delivered a full script of the film when simbu was in shooting of poda podi in landon. simbu impressed to the script and he signed for it laterly. Vettai mannan is the important movie for simbu because it is first high budget movie for simbu.                                                                                                                                                          

The film shows that simbu will be playing a gangster role as vijay played in pokkiri movie as a underground don. Jai is playing supporting role in vettai mannan and hansika who is replaced to play a character in the name of jessica, a female gangster and major part of the movie will be taken in united states.                                                                 Thunush movie mariyaan is directed by Bharath bala and music is scored by oscar winner A.R.rahman and mariyaan is produced by venu ravichandran. Director and rahman already worked together in composing of vande mataram. A.R. rahman agreed to be a part of the movie and also he composed two songs for the mariyaan movie and the song will be filmed in africa. According to the schedule mariyaan movie shooting will began in namibia and the director is planning to take some fight scenes in namibia with supervisor of stunt mater dhilip subarayan. Appu kutty is playing a important role in mariyaan and paravathi menon has join with dhanush to perform a key role for mariyaan. mariyaan movie is released by aascar films.this is the first movie for parvathi menon who joined with dhanush.
